Anytime a Republican has bad press, there's an attack on a Dem.

When Feeney and Delay were justifiably attacked, the press went after Pelosi and the guy from California.

Also - it's worth contacting your reps, whichever party, and letting them know you're onto them. There's a handful of Democrats in Congress who are calling for an investigation of the paid punditry. They (two from California - George Miller and Henry Waxman) should be encouraged, and their colleagues should be pushed to it, too.

If they think we don't care... they won't, either.

If they focus on Rather then they don't have to focus on the fact that they are all shills. Williams says there are others, you have to wonder who they are. If the MSM questions this one, they may have to reveal their complicity in the matter. "Rathergate" is about one individual (though there are others involved) and they can focus on that without having to turn the heat up on themselves.

Infuriating how people like Chris Matthews played both sides before the election, not knowing who would win the elections but now seem gleefully in the pro-Bush camp now. Last night on Hardball he said that the CBS documents were obvious forgeries and he left viewers with conclusion that CBS was pursuing an anti-Bush political agenda, even though the CBS investigation did not actually reach those conclusions, and of course no mention of the fact that the underlying questions about Bush's service have still gone unanswered.

They show footage of Kerry giving a speech and come back to anchor Brian Kilmead who immediately comments "sounded really fake to me". and the Bushies bring up Rather as a counter argument. I've told them that's like mixing apples and oranges.

Williams was paid $240,000 of tax payer monies to pimp the right wing agenda during an election. Williams is being shunned by his peers and this administration hopefully will be investigated for improper use of taxpayer monies.
