2. Generally, I don't give a rip
I would hope a lot of wonks peruse these boards and others to find out just what people out here in workaday land are thinking and going through.

Education is something. Otherwise, who cares?

if they wanted to learn and not lecture

6. I'm surprised they bother when they get the reception they do.
We have oodles of good ideas that the powers that be will never see because we treat them like trolls when they do drop in.

A little bit of respect can go a very long way.

7. Well Chris Heinz did take some heat today but
I do appreciate that he took the time to respond to some of my thoughts, even if he didn't agree with them.

11. There's criticizing, and there's bashing.
Criticism can be helpful (yours seemed to be). Bashing just hurts us all.

8. They should be treated special with extra respect and defreence.
They should be treated nicer and politer than regular DUers
treat other regular DUers, even if their endorsement
of some pro-war stooge is retro milktoast bullshit.

17. It was nice when Wes Clark, Jr. dropped by to let his opinions be known
regarding a particularly offensive post.

Reminded me a bit of how his good 'ol dad responded when asked early on in the primaries what he would do if the Republicans attacked him with the methods they'd used on McCain in the 2000 primary.

Very direct and to the point.

21. Anyone whose name commands attention
ought to be very careful about showing up for the sole purpose of advancing an agenda. Just my 2 cents.

They could learn a lot by dropping in and paying attention.

23. That depends
If they come here expecting a ready-made group of unquestioning support then they'll be disappointed. If they come to get a sense of what average Democrats with a high interest in politics are thinking then it can be very useful.
