Nevermind that he's gay, although that would be a huge step for progress in Louisiana. This country will be taken back with small steps like these. You could even consider it "payback" for all the steps taken backward in November elections. Chris is a good man and a true progressive candidate who just happens to be gay.
This is a very winnable election with turnout only expect to be between 5-10%. With a total of only 27,000 registered voters in the district, total vote numbers will probably be less than 2700. This means that just 1000-1400 votes could win this thing...outright, with no run-off.
Unfortunately, this being a special election, with qualifying during the holidays and voting just weeks later during Mardi Gras, time for fund raising time is dramatically shorter than most campaigns. Please read Chris's positions, and offer some progressive cash if you can.
