Well with the wonders of the internet and reading Trippi's book and how he spends many hours searching the net, i'm sure he's reading the comments like this one calling him an idiot.

However, I don't think he's an idiot for endorsing Rosenberg. I'd rather he had endorsed Dean for chairman, but the fact still remains that he still thinks highly enough of Dean that he thinks Dean should run for US Senate or President. Trippi is a visonary so even though I sitll want to see Dean as chairman I respect Trippi's opinion.

Trippi shaped a lot of that campaign. Anything internet releated I believe was Trippi's idea to impliment on the campaign. So I don't think it's fair to say that Dean was the campaign and that's all. Trippi had a lot to do with making that campaign what it was.

I think what really happened was that Dean and Kate O' Connor never trusted Trippi enough to let him be a part of the "inner circle". I'd advise everyone to read Trippi's book "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised" it really gives you a lot of information on that campaign as well as the future.

I have no first-hand knowledge either way. But on the Kerry campaign, I did hear ex-Dean staff claim that many of the "internet innovations" Trippi is usually credited for, didn't originate with Trippi.

Again, that's all at second-hand, and the people I heard this from virulently disliked Trippi, so take it for what it's worth.

I find it sad that so many Democrats are caught up in this trap of working for and supporting politicians. If you really want to move America to the left, you need to create a Leftist consciousness in this country. Politicians do not create any sort of consciousness, they only capitalize on what is out there. What is out there now is what have been generated by the corporate propaganda machine, and capitalized upon by the GOP propaganda machine and their politicians.

IT'S POLITICS! Who are you going to support? No one. Should dems just abandon politics? Maybe leave it all to the Republicans because they know better. I get your point, but your method is a failure before it gets out of the gate. Especially if you compare it to Dean's plans for the party.

I also want to create a leftist consciousness in this country. But how are we going to do that? Do we take a semi-organized and resourced approach or do we start out in the St. Marks church in NYC? I saw that we go for the semi-organized approach. People that share their values working together simultaneously to reach millions instead of one by one.

We do need to create our own "propaganda" machine. For dems/leftists, we have to start from the ground up. The pukes/corporations start with the money and work down to the people. Their approach is more effective in the short term. Dean's is more effective in the long term big picture.

With the four branches (I include the M$M as the propaganda branch)of govt in the hands of the repugs, there's not much that dems can actually do. Besides which, after the last sixteen years without a dem president (and Clinton as an agent of the DLC doesn't qualify as a dem president) the party is effectively dead without finding some new leadership.

As of this election the repugs will be responsible for the utter destruction of a nation. And as dumb as the citizenry is, they damn well deserve it. Perhaps the best thing that dems can now do is to completely opt out of the governing process.

I mean that all dem representatives and senators should have 100% attendance records but vote neither yea or nae, but abstain in all votes.

Then, in 2008 IF there ever is another election in this country, they'll be able to stand up and say to the country "Look what they have done to you. Now if you're ready to get your country back, we will do it for you, but this time no back sniping. Let's have reasonable and courteous political discussion once more. No red state, blue state. Just American states."

I don't think Trippi has ever really been that critical of Dean as to warrant a Dick Morris comparison. Dick Morris hurt himself and could never realize that it was his own fault. He blamed it all on the Clinton's and continues to do it because FOX will pay him to say these things.
