where you don't start turning on your fellow democrats on a Presstitute's show just because you are asked a "trick" question...as it would not do much good at this point. Ted Kennedy was forced to do the same thing.

John Kerry did say wrong war, wrong time, wrong place.....and I believe that this was his stance......for most of the latter part of the campaign.

What's too bad is that we ended up with a nominee and his VP that both voted for the War. That was a losing proposition starting on Day one.

I am glad that Wes didn't say....Yeah, Kerry was kinda of wishy washy, you know. It would not have served any real purpose to agree with the GOP and the message that they have put out all along.

He said something to the effect that many people were in a different position in 2002 (hard to get the rest of that thought cuz Tweety kept interrupting) but that Kerry "moved" the party (and himself) to an anti-war stance. That was a very diplomatic way to say it, imho.

When General Clark joins your team; that's it, he's on your team. He does not dump on Democrats. If he has something to say, it will be privately said, it will be couched in visionary or futuristic terms, and it will be clear and concise.

Many posters may still believe that all generals know is how to shine shoes and march, but in reality they have spent hours in leadership training and team building. In Clark's case, he was a natural leader who took all that tax-payer paid training and put it to use. There is also an opinion that often raises its head about the need to look for "politicians" when chosing a candidate. True, political skills are learned, but I would counter that few politicians know much about leadership. This life-time politician class has often failed us.

I point to the example of Biden who appeared on MTP prior to the Dem convention. When asked about the 87billion, Biden trashed both Clark and Kerry and pointed out his own "yes" vote. A vote which I consider just another enabling vote in a long line of enabling votes that Biden has made.

The mark of a real leader is someone who stands up for what is right even when no one else is standing up. Thus, my avatar.

As a Kerry spokesman he couldn't really be critical of Kerry and that was his job which he did in every appearance. I believe since that is what he did as a kerry representative he could say that speaking from his experience. Tweety remarked that he felt Kerry was never that clear. I think many feel that same way but most Kerry supporters feel he was clear. It may be a matter of semantics and perspective.

The General was clearly not feeling so hot and was, in my view, off his game. While it was frustrating that Tweety was talking to himself while The General was "allowed to watch" the fact is Tweety's monologue was quite venomous against Chimpus Khan, so we kinda lost very little.

As for this notion about "stop Dean" ...... where the hell is **that** coming from???

I didn't hear that The General asked Carville to call him and ask him so he could say Carville asked him on Clinton's behalf, so The General could deny being a Dean Stopper to make someone who sees ghosts under their bed happy that there was finally proof that Clinton wants Hillary to use Clark as a Stalking Horse and the DNC Chair is the way to do it and since Dean has announced it is now Time for Carville to Call Clark because Clinton asked him .................

He gets his money that way. He has a fondness for the AR crowd, because of his long relationship with Bill, but he goes where the money is and does his best work for the candidate with whom he signs a contract. He prepped Dean during the primary debates, with Paul Begala. He's not a whore consultant, a la Prick Morris, as he sticks to his side of the fence, and he has his own opinions, but if he agrees to help a candidate, he helps them, and gives them his best advice.

I thought it was great. Sure Tweety jumped all over him, but that was to say the administration was full of morons. I'm okay with that.

Wes did a good job of navigating through Kerry's position on the war -- he had to lead a party that had voted for the war to one that stood in opposition to it. Seemed like he was sticking to the facts without pointing fingers.

Also, excellent rhetoric on showcasing ideas and beliefs. His poor voice, though!
