This information is something I think we should all be looking into. Some here at DU are trying to gather information and psot here for others to keep handy or do further investigation on. I have chosen to keep an eye on a few members of the watch list and my own state officials. Please refer to the VOTE thread for information on volunteering for other things. I will try and find the link again and post it at the bottom of this post on edit.

Several on Republican “watch list” are co-sponsors of this bill; The Medical Malpractice bill, HR 4280. Some related bills are: HR 139, HR 638, HR 5, HR 4275, HR 4275, HR 4279, S 607, HR126, HR 4279.
J.D. Hayworth (R) Arizona
Ric Keller (R) Florida
Candice Miller (R) Michigan
Joseph Pitts (R) PA
Interestingly enough 2 Democrats are also Co-sponsors David Scott (D) Georgia, and John Murtha (D) PA

http://www.congress.org/congressorg/webreturn/?url=http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c108:H.R.4280:HR 4275 is also co-sponsored by several on the watch list. This would permanently extend the 10% individual income tax bracket. If I read correctly, this is simply providing for married couples that make $14,000 or under, individuals making $10,000 or under, singles making $7,000 or under to pay 10% income tax permanently. There are a few provisions for review regarding for cost of living. Many on the watch list support this bill. There are no Democrat co-sponsors. My only comment here is THIS DOES NOT GO FAR ENOUGH. Those numbers are ridiculously low and this may be why this bill does not have a lot of Democrat support! There are three versions of this bill HR4275 PCS, IH, EH. All contain the same basic text. I see no related bills listed.
J.D. Hayworth (R) Arizona
Ric Keller (R) Florida
David Dreier (R) California
Jack Kingston (R) Illinois
Candice Miller (R) Ohio
Mark Kirk (R) Illinois
Roy Blunt (R) Missouri
Debora Pryce (R) Ohio
Interesting to note, the infamous Tom Feeney (R) Florida is also listed as a co-sponsor. This, you will remember is the guy Clint Cutis says asked him to create a program for manipulating electronic voting machines, in order to effect the outcome of an election. Also I have noticed Christopher Cox (R) California seems to co-sponsor with a lot of those on the watch list. He co-sponsors HR 4280 and some of its related bills too. Being from Colorado, I will also note that our ultra-conservative (R) Representative Bob Beauprez also supports this bill.

http://www.congress.org/congressorg/issues/bills/?bill=5805771&size=fullHR 4281 Association health plans for small businesses. This bill provides for an amendment to title I of The Employee Retirement Income Security Act to improve access and choice for entrepreneurs with small businesses to medical care for their employees. Only two Republicans from the watch list co-sponsors this bill. Related bills are HR 638 sponsored by Deborah Pryce, who is also on the watch list; currently there are no co-sponsors for her bill, HR 660, HR 4275, HR 4279, S 545, HR 4281.
Candiice Miller (R) Michigan
Ric Keller (R) Florida
Two Democrats co-sponsor this bill: Nydia Velazquez (D) New York, and Calvin Dooley California.

http://www.congress.org/congressorg/webreturn/?url=http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c108:H.R.4281:HR 4279 is to provide for the disposition of unused health benefits in cafeteria plans and flexible spending arrangements. Colorado Representative Scott Mcinnis (R) is a co-sponsor of this bill as well. This bill applies to cafeteria plans, health savings account and the like. Candice Miller is the only co-sponsor of this bill on the watch list. Related bills are HR 4281, HR 4280, HR 638.
Candice Miller (R) Michigan
Candice Miller seems to have a strong ally in Representative Shelley Moore Capito (R) West Virginia. Capito is cosponsoring ALL of the same bills Candice Miller is co-sponsoring. Because of that connection I am putting her on my personal watchlist. Retiring Colorado Representative Scott Mcinnis was also apparently a strong ally of Candice Miller. They co-sponsored HR 4281, HR 4275, and HR 4279. Colorado has replaced Mcinnis’ seat with a Democrat. John Salazar (D) Colorado, whose brother is the new Democratic Senator Ken Salazar. Ken Salazar replaces retiring Republican Senator Ben Nighthorse-Campbell. Hopefully, these two can help counteract some of the damage created by the two previous Republicans.

http://www.congress.org/congressorg/webreturn/?url=http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c108:H.R.4279:· The watch list is the list of Republicans that remarked in the negative regarding election reform on January 6, 2005.
* It appears as if all of the above bills are related to one another . and it appears as if several of the Republicans that spoke out on January 6, 2005 have a lot of common ground they are working on.
