9. Hard to tell, but I do know one thing for sure. We win nothing by playing

it safe, by worrying what the other side will think of us. We've done that for far too long, running focus groups instead of standing up for ourselves unapologetically, and what has it done for us? I'm glad that Daschle and Gephardt are gone...and I even wouldn't mind Dean as DNC chair...I don't think it would be the best use of his time when he could be focusing entirely on DFA, which I participate in.

I've been looking at what the DNC chair actually does and it appears to be more of a fundraiser that has to listen to all sides (i.e. moderates, etc.) and must work with committees on all sides of the Democratic party, which lean more in the moderate zone than to the farthur left (which Dean is not even really politically in anyway).

I like reasoned discussion on the issue and find any blinded kneejerk reactions that don't like anything other than glowing praise of Dean as some kind of Savior as petulant.
