heading the 08 ticket. You could see this train wreck of an administration coming from a continent away before the 2000, and none of these people did more than lip service to dissent for bad policy. Actually some of them ended up voting to implement those policies. ALL of them persist in making certain that *'s feelings aren't hurt because someone considers him not "a nice guy" and only reluctantly have called him on his lies. None of them stood up for the integrity of the vote or the counting of votes with any consistency or in a meaningful manner. Lip service has been given to concerns about disasterous political appointees, and votes for the appointement of these criminals continue with the feeble excuse that "he is entitled to his advisors"--never mind that these people are destroying our nation. Not one iota of political conviction nor the 'nads to stand behind their rhetoric.

I'm tired of rewarding people for their name recognition.

we have to run someone other than a sitting member of Congress. Govenors become POTUS, not Senators or Reps (with only a couple exceptions).

3. I'm starting to see things like Jon Stewart

It's not a matter of Democratics vs. Republicans, or the left vs. the right.

The fight has become truth and reason vs. fascism and fundamentalism.

And it's going to take more than just the Democratic Party to win this fight.

We're going to need moderate Republicans, Independents and everyone on the left to stand up and speak truth to power.

Right now I would support a pro choice moderate Republican who's willing to fight the neo conservatives over a Democrat who will back down and do nothing.

Shouldn't we all be coming together to work on the mid-term elections and sweeping Bush out of office rather than giving holier-than-thou pronounciations on who we all will or won't vote for.

This isn't a slam directed at the OP, this is just my frustration with the incessant infighting that makes us so beatable

I'm responding to a number of posts I've seen recently suggesting this or that person to head the ticket in 08, including posts in which this or that party operative is suggesting people. I'm simply stating that I don't see these individuals as viable since they have squandered chances to stand up against this regime.

At this point, I do not care to support them. Now, that doesn't mean that perhaps one of them may step forward and truly lead. However, the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior, and I just don't have much hope for this happening.

With Dean as DNC front man and Clark as nominee we will have a huge movement to regain control of our party and force many of the so called established leaders to leave or rethink themselves.
