The Progressive Focus should be counter-propaganda against * SS "crisis"

We are seeing the forces of * engage in a massive, multi-faceted propaganda campaign to prepare the electorate for the acceptance of *'s Social Security "reform".

* is engaging all sorts of pundits to talk about the coming "crisis" and the "crisis" is being reported over and over in the news.

In the absence of a truly massive counter-effort, it will become generally accepted public opinion that Social Security IS in crisis and we have no choice but to enact *'s hare-brained privatization scheme to "save" it.

The stakes are once again high. If we can defeat the SS plan, that will throw a wrench in many of *'s related economic agenda items.Better, it will also punch a hole in the propaganda screen that has saved him from utter political ruin which would be certain if people really knew what he was doing.

We need to marshal all available resources, get people like Krugman, VanDen Huevel, Borsage, etc on as many TV appearances as possible, and aggressively refute the information before we suffer another propaganda based defeat.
