DENVER - Physicians who've recently returned from treating soldiers wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan say body armor and even the best medical technology can't prevent the crippling effect the rampant use of explosives is causing.

In past wars, troops had some warning as to how close to front lines they were. But in Iraq, the front lines are everywhere, and they change moment by moment.
