Hi.
I am not the best with the grammar and punctuation and I am sure much of this old news to many, so I ask for your patience. Note to mods: new guy here...if this should have been posted elsewhere, please move it. cell
I have noticed some posts and info on the Moon organization here. I started reading about Moon a few years ago. Let me tell you, I have come to believe there is a reason our country is moving more theocratic and fascist. I believe there is reason for this and it isn't the product of the free market of ideas or an outgrowth of any normal democratic process.
I believe that Moon has had more to do with creating our current political climate than anyone. Anyone. He outspent Scaife and when he spent it, I assure you he got his money's worth. He was there in the 80s when the current GOP was being molded. Whenever a hard right theocrat fell, there was Moon picking them up, dusting them off, giving them a pocketful of cash and pat on the keester as he sent them off to drive our country right and theocratic. Falwell, LaHaye, Viguerie, on and on. He financed Terry Dolan - giving $750,000 to his Conservative Alliance. Dolan, a name you might not be familiar with, is the father of the attack ad which changed the way we do politics in America. Dolan, just another of many non citizen Moon has helped.
I believe if you step back, look at the last 25 years, look at what Moon's organization has done and match it to what he said he would do - the goals he intended, you'll see he is winning. I believe the
Washington Times has been a huge cog in his effort. When Reagan and the conservatives honored the
Washington Times instead of disavowing it, that's when our democracy began its death spiral. imho. Moon is the straw that stirs the new conservative movement's drink. He said he was going to raise up the Christians so they would follow his lead and they are, while taking the rest of us with them. They just don't see it. Their leaders have sold them and our nation out. He lead them out of the 40 year liberal wilderness. He is their savior.
Moon wants us to go willingly. In short, Moon said that his goal was the
"natural subjugation of the American government and population." Consider yourself as being subjugated. Leonard Cohen would say "he sank beneath our wisdom like a stone."
You ever google "America's newspaper"? hah
I believe Moon could sell his influence machine tomorrow, it has done it's job.
The idea, the frame, if you will, that the
Washington Times is in any sense "independent" of Moon's plan's for the planet, is nonsense. Any study of Moon shows EVERYTHING he does is designed to help him move his theofascist ball down the field.
It's not exactly like most blogs, I don't think. But I have compiled some notes on this subject. There are only three posts there as I write this; let me tell you what is here.
http://cellwhitman.blogspot.com/The post first post,
Who IS driving the bus? goes through some of the who, why, where and what has happened to our nation the last 25 years. There are over 50 numbered notes to the first post. I believe you will find them very legit sources, most with links for you to check out for yourself.
The 2nd post which, in one of my more creative moments, was named
Appendix A: Notes for above post. haha There you will find, yep, the numbered notes for the first post. haha
Whether you agree with my interpretations of this information in the first post or not, I do believe that EVERY politically minded person should be familiar with the information in the third post,
"The "Independent" Washington Times? and the additional info below.
Here are a couple of things not in the third post, see what you see.
One source of information on Moon and his intentions are the former members of his cult. There are some really heroic people who have been trying to warn this country of this deceitful organization for a long time and we have foolishly ignored them for the most part.
One such former member is Craig Maxim, who is now a Christian. A singer, he traveled entertaining Moon at the leader of the UC's mansions around the world. Having read a good bit of Craig's work, I believe he is as honest a man as you will ever read. See for yourself; check out his ever growing site here.
http://www.geocities.com/craigmaxim/craig.htmlFrom the ARU forum where the UC is discussed:
http://tinyurl.com/3msn5Quoting Maxim - addressing another poster, who is a current member:
I have, on several occasions, been allowed to sit in on Korean Regional Leaders meetings, and other such high level meetings Moon has lead. I watched him direct activities these companies would go in. I watched the Korean leaders ask Moon about certain purchases, etc.. and what Moon told them to do, is done. I have watched Josette Shiner come and give a full report about things the Washington Times was doing, and make sure he knew everything that was going on. And similarly, Moon would respond to her comments and make decisions based on what she told him.
Moon was supposed to have NOTHING to do with the AFC and the Times beyond being the "founder" of these organizations. I personally witnessed that this was not true. I saw the reality myself. You on the other hand, are a nobody in the UC, and so all you have is the party line, which you believe without question.Note that the "Jossett Shiner" he mentions is one of the finalists to be the our new Trade Representative. The current head is taking a job with Condi. Shiner is an assistant rep for Asia,, now.
Also, here's another quote to add to the mix:
From
“Moonstruck: The Reverend and his Newspaper” by Ann Louise Bardach, an article that was originally to have appeared in
Vanity Fair in 1992 but was killed. The article finally saw print in 2004 when included in the book
Killed, Great Journalism Too Hot to Print by David Wallis. (Amazon
http://tinyurl.com/63nfq )
quoting the 1992 Bardach article:
The reverend, who described himself as the Messiah, addressed some 200 staffers, wearing a beige suit and a snug-fitting silk shirt. According to one guest, Moon spoke in a "rapid fire, high pitched peals of oratorical Korean alternating with incomprehensible English," with both languages requiring the translation services of Moon's close ally, Times executive, Bo Hi Pak. Bristling with emotion while thumping the podium, he told a stunned audience that he had already poured a staggering $830 million into the Times. Moreover, he said that he personally raises the $7 million dollars each month needed to keep the paper afloat.
If Moon's figures are correct, they are a record-shattering sum for the newspaper business, surpassing previous estimates of $35 million to $50 million annual losses for the paper. Time Life pulled the plug on the Washington Star when its losses hit $30 million while the Dallas Herald owners closed their doors after less than $20 million seeped into the red. ....snip....
The paper's most powerful booster, President Reagan, let it be known that he "reads the Times first thing every morning at breakfast." It became apparent that the Reagan administration was doing more than just reading the paper; the Times received numerous leaks and exclusives, including coveted interviews with Reagan. ....
Charlotte Hayes, who wrote a hilarious and snarky memoir in The New Republic entitled "I was Moonie Gossip Columnist," still laments the loss of the generous expense account she had at the paper. "This is on the Rev.," Hayes, a thoroughbred conservative, would tell sources as she lunged for meal checks. "The Times," she added drolly, "is a place for free market conservatives to escape the free market." .......
Some insiders say that the Unification Church was the number one contributor to conservative causes throughout the 1980s._________
No, the
Washington Times nor today's right wing theofascist Republican party is remotely the product of the free market of ideas. Sure others were involved, and today the right has many propaganda outlets. But when you look, I think you will find that Moon played a huge role in our direction. I don't think where we are today is where the average republican in 1975 would want us to be going, Moon changed everything. The political cult of conservatism is Moon's theocratic political army.
Even if you think I am nuts, please read the third post and use the info "liberally" or drip it out where you find a need.
at any rate, I hope it helps having some of it in one place, and no, as many of you know, it isn't everything by any means.
