The man got a raw deal. If Poppy hadn't rigged the October Surprise and he had another 4 years, history would remember him with much more kindness.

6. Carter - It used to be Clinton til he sold out |
|
Not only that the Democratic party is paying for the Monica crap. I understand he was hunted and all that but the GOP wingers fling Monica in our faces all the time, and it sucks. (Pun intended)

8. I think Clinton will eventually rise to the level that Carter has |
|
But it will take some time.
I voted for Jimmy. I wish all "Christians" were like him.

12. Clinton will never approach Carter |
|
Jimmy Carter is an amzing human being. Clinton's ego is far too great. He will never approach the level of selfless humanity that Carter embodies. It's just not in his nature.

9. Imagine if Carter had been re-elected and Sadat hadn't been assassinated. |

This would be an incredibly different world.

10. Carter: Probably the smartest and most honest president since |
|
Lincoln.
However, honesty is not an attribute prized by most Americans, apparently.

16. Ford and Poppy are not much to speak about as presidents or |
|
ex-presidents. I especially don't like Poppy for continuing the Bush dynasty. The anti-Kennedy clan, ugh.

17. Defintely Jimmy Carter. |
|
This man lives his faith every day and doesn't wear it on his sleeve. He walks the walk and talks the talk.
Nobel Peace Prize Winner, how many US Presidents can claim that on their resumes?
And he gave an ass kicking speech at the Dem Convention last July.
