B*sh back in stock market down. |

I thing the euphoria over his 're-election' is starting to wear off.
I am not saying the economy is going to collapse anytime soon but I do believe 25 years of 'trickle down' economics is taking its toll.
I believe in capitalism but you must have rules and safe guard sin place. The best economies our ones that incorporate what is best from the free market and what is best form socialism. I believe you have to have a balance.
One example for Right Wings nuts who hate protectionism.
The American Farmer, most i know vote republican time and time again. They hate government handouts they say but if the government did not support farmers all but a few would be out of business real fast. In fact I consider them government employees because with state and federal help they could not even turn even a small profit.

if it wasn't for welfare for farmers by guaranteeing prices, various tax breaks etc they would be out on the street. Well most farmers here also have a job outside farming but still they line up for their government handouts for their farm.
A good example: They have a tobacco buyout where I live. They government is going to pay farmers not to grow tobacco for ten years. So they can transition to another business. I call it welfare they call it good business.

When there's a glut, the checks come rollin' in.
I guess I don't mind the help they get, I just get weary of the hypocrisy. It's okay for them to feed at the trough, but anyone else is robbing them blind.
