We can't win. We're outnumbered. The best thing the Democrats can do is grow a backbone and contest everything shady. Our Congresspeople have to make themselves heard in order to make the public think. There has to be a real opposition party in Congress and we have to be the media in order to stop the disinformation that rumbles through the Republican echo chamber.

Condi has been fairly careful not to do anything provably wrong. I say let this one go. Remember, in this job, as a cabinet member, she will take the criticism too. I think they'd be much better off fighting against Gonzales. There's his advise in his memos, things he did while working for shrub in Tx. etc. There's a lot more to work with, and objections that have real foundation.

confirmed, all of these speeches by the Dems will get it across to the sleeping public that she is a liar, as is * her bossman (actually Cheney and Rove) speaking through *. What needs to be exposed is their lies, thier false justifications, the way they rewrote the intelligence to make it come out the way they wanted -- the way they rushed to war in Iraq with absolutely no provocation -- the way they have murdered innocent civilians and wasted the lives of 1,400 of our soldiers. That's what needs to come out. Who cares about Condi getting confirmed - there's more at stake here -- same for the Gonzalez confirmation hearings and for giving * another $80 million. The Dems need to organizae and oppose, oppose, oppose!
