In one of her first official acts, Margaret Spellings has attempted to censor an episode of "Postcards from Buster" on PBS. Buster, an animated bunny, takes a trip to Vermont and shares his experiences with children. But much to Ms. Spellings dismay, even though the entire focus of the show is on farm life and maple sugaring, Buster encounters two lesbian couples on his trip. Spellings now wants the show to not be aired, and wants PBS to refund the government for the money spent in producing the episode. Her final, ominous, statement is as follows: "You can be assured that in the future the department will be more clear as to its expectations for any future programming that it funds." That didn't take long, did it?
