I got the following email from the California Dems. I thought others may want to see the candidates.
On Saturday, January 22, The Western Regional Caucus* of the DNC hosted a DNC Candidate Chair Forum in Sacramento at the Radisson Hotel.
Over 600 Democratic activists attended to hear the seven candidates speak and answer questions that had been submitted by the DNC members.
The Sacramento meeting, which was moderated by CDP Chairman Art Torres and Western States Caucus Chair Karen Marchioro, is the only one available on the internet. You will need a broadband connection to view the video, which is available on our website at www.cadem.org.
The entire DNC meets Feb 10-12 in D.C. and the election is scheduled for Saturday, February 12th. If no candidate gets 50% plus one, then the candidate with the fewest votes is dropped and a new ballot is distributed until one candidate wins that majority.
Sincerely,
Senator Art Torres (Ret.) Chairman, California Democratic Party
* The Western Caucus is made up of Alaska, American Samoa, Arizona, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, Democrats Abroad (1/2 vote).
