"Democrats should resign from Congress" - moran op/ed - LOL

Top ten Idiot's List Candidate?

Democrats should resign from Congress

I was surprised the Democrats didn't get out of their chairs and slap Condi Rice for having the guts to get nominated for the position she is seeking. They really gave her the third degree, like she was a Nazi at the Nuremburg Trial. I've heard of Stalin era show trials more kind than what the Democrats put Bush's nominees' through.

A "new era of cooperation" is needed and we are not going to get this with the current set of partisans in Congress. The tone is shrill and something has to change and soon if national business is going to get done. I kindly suggest all the Democrats resign their posts and go home and set up a foundation or whatnot. The Congress needs a GOP majority to clean up at least 60 years of clutter left by the prior Democrat majorities. (And some Republicans helped in the current mess, too, so both sides are to blame.) The number of agencies that repeat each others functions is mind boggling. Look it up sometime.

Despite the dying screams of the aging and divided Democratic Party, I think that President Bush will get his agenda through Congress.

8. State controlled by Dems
Governor, House and Senate. And Montana was Dem for years. It went with Reagan and slowly moved red. The new Dem leadership could easily take it back to a strong Dem state again, depending on what the national party does. The Republicans have just about wrecked the place.

"Yes, we went to war against the wishes of the U.N., France, Germany, Russia, China. But ask yourselves why! Twelve years and 17 resolutions against Iraq and nothing was accomplished but lost time, much suffering and "9/11."

Good lord. :eyes:

BTW, I never remember seeing this many religious ltte's when I lived in Montana. Must be an editorial decision.

13. "Bush will get his agenda through Congress"
I hate to say it, but I agree.

In next week's State of the Union Speech, watch as every Democrat on the floor will repeatedly stand up and applaud Bush. Unfortunately, the Democrats have become the rubber stamp party which refuses to stop wiping away at Bush's fat butt. More than anything else, it appears that their agenda is to support Bush. They could and should have easily won the White House but refused to run a winning campaign, they allowed reich wingers to blog up every web forum with all kinds of anti-Kerry bullshit, and sat by as reichsters talked up all kinds of shit on radio call-in shows.

Like it or not, it appears that the DNC has become the Democrats-for-Bush party.
