I wish he would. He would be the easiest Republican to beat, imo. I suppose his health would be the overriding issue, but he has served as shadow president for over four years and has had fewer heart attacks than when he was a private citizen. I think being a fascist leader actually invigorates him.

As far as him having fewer heart attacks since when he was a private citizen -- when he was a private citizen, he couldn't control the press (and history itself). If he had one during the first term, I'm sure they'd have shut it up.

Half the time nobody seems to know where he is anyway. It wouldn't be hard for him to spend a few weeks in the hospital without it being reported.

Any number of Puke Governors (Romney, Pataki, and Taft besides Bush) come to mind. They can be more easily sold as 'centrist'.

Senators? McCain and Frist head the list, followed closely by Chuck Hagel. Lugar a remote possibility. But the Senate has not proven to be the right launching pad to the WH for either party for a looooong time.

Condi will be in the mix (but probably wind up as some white guy's VP pick).

Rove already has picked his horse, you can be sure.
