and I agree with Kerry that what we need is a modernizer and organizer, not necessarily a spokesperson.

I think I will be happy with either. Perhaps we will still get the help of one if the other gets put in. Cooperation would be nice.

Donnie Fowler is on now. I think my well was poisoned with him. At the moment, I'm not impressed. But then someone around here worked with him in Michigan, and said he was only available when it was time to take credit. I have a bad feeling on him therefore.

The others pounced on it. That's why they sound alike. It was the same way at the last one of these "debates."

Rosenberg is good and has a lot of experience though--therefore, he parrots Dean the least (he doesn't need to).

Speculation being that Rosenberg might be looking to hook on as the number two guy at the DNC behind Dean.

25. I didn't like what Webb said about the Condi issue

He seemed to be saying that African-Americans didn't understand the issues with Rice and saw it as a personal issue to vote against her. And therefore, if it came down to (he didn't say it but I will... RACE) issues, he wouldn't take a stand against a black candidate. I find that insulting to blacks-if people don't understand why Condi, black, white, red or green, was the wrong choice, then maybe someone needs to be chair that decides to EXPLAIN it to people.

I'd never heard him speak before, but he sure sounds like a fighter! He hit on all the major topics of interest to liberals, and clearly stated his support for those ideals. It will be nice if an excellent fighter like this gets to lead the DNC.

and they said Dean was angry. Guess Frost, Roemer, Fowler and Leland think they should ape Dean by 'sounding passionate'. Leaves me cold. I like Simon, but let's face it, they're all trying, in one way or another, are channeling Howard.
The loudest applause is definitely for Dean. And he sounds passionate but natural. He's not yelling at the audience. He's talking with them.

Aside from my advocation of the separation of church and state, I was also raised under the notion that religion or lack thereof is a private matter. I especially become uncomfortable when people suddenly initiate conversation about one another's religion in a secular, professional setting.

I was stunned at how Kerry was able to allude to religious themes fairly subtly and eloquently; however, most others just come across as overly effusive, deliberately exploiting their God's name and implying inferiority of those who do not share their views.
