I can't believe that some supporters of each are still fighting the primaries! I'll go first:

I like Howard Dean and Wesley Clark; both are fine gentlemen and good Democrats.

I am a supporter of Dean for DNC Chair and I hope that Clark will run in 2008. This time Clark needs to jump in early, like right after the midterms in 2006: set up fundraising committees, precinct captains in Iowa and New Hampshire, decline federal matching funds.

I believe Clark would win in 2008. It's hard for me to imagine anyone with 'tougher' credentials being nominated by the republicans. However, Clark has something they all lack: democratic beliefs and a heart.

I had been to see the good Dr. at a rally in Hermann Park and then went to the reception in the Warwick hotel after, and wrote him a $100.00 check.

But my heart was still with the General, who was getting more of my money and my efforts at Meetups (I was writing letters to New Hampshirites).

I was a Dean supporter for the primary. I have to admit that I didn't get Clark a second thought at the time, because I wasn't going to support somebody that seemed to come out of nowhere, politically speaking, to be the Democratic nominee for President.

But, since the primary, Clark has, IMO, certainly "proved" himself as a Democrat. He has been an excellent spokesperson for the party and a great surrogate for Kerry. I no longer see a reason not to trust him or his intentions.

Both Clark and Dean could have gone off and pouted after losing the primaries. Neither did. They both seemed to put what had to be hurt and anger aside and worked their hearts out for the good of the party and the nation.

I just never saw Dean winning a nationwide race. That was the biggest problem I had with him. Not a big problem,in the long run, I don't think.

I'll still work my ass of for Wes should he decide to give it a shot in '08, but I must say my respect for Dr. Dean grows daily.

I am hoping he becomes DNC chair - quite frankly it's about the only thing that will keep me in the confines of the Democratic Party as currently constituted. His work with DFA and his efforts to bring about change from the bottom up (hooray! - somebody actually read the Republican "how to" manual) only further my admiration for him.

I don't know whether I'd call myself a supporter of either guy in the hero worshipping sort of way that alot of people around her have but I think that both bring alot to the Democratic Party and in particular was impressed with the fact that both were able to work through their disappointment over the primaries and work hard for the man that beath them.

... I like Dean because he's got something 99% of Dem congresspersons don't - a willingness to tell it like it is.

I like Clark because he is the most impressive speaker I've ever heard. I've seen him on 3 TV interviews and in each one he bitch-slapped the whore host and their push-poll questions with grace and ease. His progressive oratory is second to nobody's. He knows his facts and he knows which facts to bring up when. And I have no doubts whatsoever about his sincerity.

Dean for DNC chair, Clark in 2008 - that is how we win.

Both are brilliant, apparently fearless, articulate, team players (which I wasn't too sure of after the primaries), and don't just say what they think somebody wants to hear.

Most of all, both have their eyes on the prize: they don't view our struggles as some kind of college rivalry; it's clear they both love our country and will sacrifice a great deal personally to make it a better one.
