"maybe they wouldn't have looted the whole [expletive] place."

We will never know--but good pondering!!

http://slate.msn.com/id/2112972/

> Three Marines were killed south of Baghdad. As usual for Marines, the military didn't give any details. The Pentagon also announced another Marine was killed Sunday. Also, four prisoners were killed during a riot at Camp Bucca. The military said guards only opened fire after trying other things for nearly an hour. (It would have been worth noting that Iraq's prisons have been "nearing capacity" recently, as the U.S. suspended the release of detainees. And most of them are now held at Camp Bucca.)
>
> The Post counts 260 separate insurgent attacks Sunday, the most since the war began. The total death toll though, 45, was nowhere near a record.
>
> With Baghdad turned into an outdoor party Sunday, the Post ponders what might have been had the U.S. put Iraq in lockdown back in April 2003. "Yeah," said one U.S. official, "maybe they wouldn't have looted the whole place."

2. Some of the sacred ancient articles are irreplaceable!!
Now they will be in the hands of some art dealer in the black market.
Our grandchildren won't ever get to see some of those things.

It's not just Iraq's history, it's mankind's!!!!

4. Maybe the people of Iraq can make something out of this mess
I find it hard to think we did this but every thing Bush does seemed to make a mess for people. He and his friends seem to come out OK as every else has to pick up the trash he left. Must have been a fun kid to have around. I do wish the people of Iraq the best.

5. Like the house poppa bush's friends let to bush; when he left, the place
was destroyed.

Left it up to poppa bush to pay $$$$$$ to the used-to-be family friends for all the damages.

bush has been destroying people and things his entire life, and leaving the destruction for others to clean up.
