Savage: "don't give a rat's ass about the Iraqi people"

Last night I was flipping through the radio and heard Michael Savage ranting about the voting in Iraq and how he could care less about those people. He doesn't give a rat's ass about the people in Iraq.

He went on to say that he can't even get a pothole fixed on his street with government money and yet all of our tax dollars are going to resurface highways in Iraq.

I hate Savage but I wonder how many other Americans feel the same way. He's a right-wing nut but I agree that most American people don't really care at all about the people in the Middle East.

Didn't hear the rest of the rant as I arrived at my destination.

"We have very real problems in our own country that are not being addressed." That doesn't mean that the Iraqi people aren't important, but they are not more important than the people right here.

It wasn't the Iraqis, it was the United States of America. bush went to war there with "shock and awe" - a bombing blitzkrieg meant to destroy as much of the country as possible in the shortest time. We do have many problems in this country and the insane amounts of money being given to halliburton could be used to provide everyone in this country with health care. However, as a rouge nation it is only right that we compensate the nation we destroyed before looking to our own problems.

I overslept this morning and thus heard a creature named Beck on the radio while driving in. He was "discussing" social security and I had to turn it off because I realized that he was making me want to punch the nearest conservative smack in the snotlocker.

but i've heard more then one person express that thought. There is a certain mind set of some that Iraq should be given the "Final solution." It's pretty sick byt that view is out there.

We invaded to protect ourselves. Only since discovering that Saddam wasn't dangerous to us--which was pretty much since the fall of bagdad--has the rationale switched from self-defense to charity.

The American people didn't want 1500 Americans to die and hundreds of billions spent in charity work. That's why Bush EVEN TODAY justifies our work in freeing Iraqis and giving them my money in terms of self defense. That's also why Americans don't care that our charity mission kills Iraqi civilians. We really don't like them at all, having internalized the meme that all arabs are threats and that "they" are terrorists.

Savage is a disgusting tool, and hates everybody. But as far as hating Iraqis, he is in the mainstream.
