I'm sure they are not looking forward to not having a rethug-lite at the helm.

I'm definitely not surprised (and had expected it), but I've heard nothing in particular about this.

11. Another thread going on right now about Chuck Todd and
Judy Woodruff talking about how the RNC is going to start leaking stuff about Dean

Also Novak, I believe wrote column recently about what a mistake for Dema to pick Dean

In my book all the more reason to choose Dean - Novak offering advise to Dems that is anti Dean

but I think they see Dean as a Rove, Dean could kick Rove's butt.

10. My repuke aunt from Virginia said in Sept. 2004
That the repukes she knew (and my aunt is something in the military, like a spokesperson, not sure of her exact duties)

FEARED DEAN the most of the DEM primary candidates!

They Feared Clark WAY More!

Although if we were going to get beat (as we did with the looser we nominated), we should have run Dean. At least we'd have lost with an honest anti-war platform.

15. I agreed that they feared Clark as well
I really wish Clark "took off" more with the American people. Clark has his diehards here at DU as well as Dean.

Clark is really a smart guy who knows all the ins and outs of this government.

16. Maybe
But Clark is not running for DNC Chair...so why attack him now? They're trying to kick Dean out of the running once and for all.

12. Dean is the reason the repukes didn't have a money advantage
There wouldn't have been a race in 2004 if it hadn't been for Dean. He got the grass roots organization moving when it was dead as a door nail and this from someone who did not like him back then.

13. They will say and do anything now because they control the media.
No matter what Democrat comes forward, they will pile on shamelessly, because there isn't enough honest media left out there to stop them.

23. No, they fear a fighter who will say the Emperor has no Clothes
And someone like that, with even the tiniest semblence of a backbone and integrity (and Dean may have much more than a 'tiny semblance'), is to be feared by Totalitarians like the Busheviks, even killed (in an accident, of course, the Busheviks haven't used guns for political assassintaions since 1968, at least here in the Homeland).

Be careful, Mr. Dean. The last Democrat they hated and feared like you was Paul Wellstone.

The one before was Mel Carnahan.

The one before that was JFK Jr.

Establishment. Should Gov. Dean take a car or train everywhere he goes from now until Feb. 12? :)
