True or False
George W. Bush is running the show. He is running his administration. He is setting the agenda. He is actually putting together the proposals that he is proposing. He formulated the Iraq policy. He chose his Vice-President.

True or false?

7. No, it's not a trick question, I want to know what people really think

I think all of this fighting "against Bush" and focusing on "Bush" is a waste of time, when he's not the one setting the agenda or creating the policies that we hate.

Too many people like Bush and nothing will change their minds about "Bush" so we may as well stop trying to bring Bush down by trying to explain to people how bad he is.

You can make inroads with them on Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, PNAC, and "neocons," and then you can bring down the Bush administration after you have convinced them why Bush's circle is so bad for them, because then they'll be able to see that Bush is the face of the operation.

They put him out front to reach the "hearts" of the people who just can't be convinced that he is not a "good man." Then once the people have rallied around Bush, the neocons benefit from it, by being in office. He is a prop, the mouthpiece, albeit a bad one, but effective in what they need him for.

Take down his circle by exposing them, then you can take down his administration. "PNAC" and "NEOCON" need to become dirty words that strike fear and disgust in the hearts of people in this country. If they become that, you have won.

The media is feeding this "Democrats v Bush" crap, not Democrats v Republicans as it should be, and they are doing this because they know that people support "Bush", not the neocon movement. Even C-Span is doing this. Everytime I see those stupid numbers with "Support Democrats" and "Support President Bush", I want to break something, because I know the psychological games that they are playing, and I'm sick of it.

13. How long did it take you to reach this conclusion?
To me "Bush" has always been just a name that represents his puppet masters. But no one will listen to attacks on Cheney or Rove or Wolfowitz. That is the genius in their plan.

18. I agree
In a manner he is running the show, while he may not set policy is the vehicle which makes it successful. Bush is very popular, and running the show or not he is a force that needs to be reckoned with. Attacking him directly will do nothing but earn you the hatred of those who love him. But, destroy his base and he too is destroyed.

What I truly fear now is these same force Jeb Bush in 2008. A Bush dynasty is the last thing the human race needs.

9. Why do you ask?
If I'm in a smashed car, hurtling over a cliff, in pain and wondering if my life will end when the thing comes to a stop, I wouldn't at that moment be curious as to the full name and age of the driver who'd hit my car and knocked it over the cliff... I'd have a few other things on my mind.

George Bush doesn't have an "agenda," he's not the one calling the shots. Then drag "PNAC" and Cheney through the mud, and use "neocon" as many times as possible.

PNAC and neocon have to become frequent in the democrats' rebuttals.

11. Bush is a
moron. He's the face in front of the evil that goes on in his administration. What he brings to it is the street-fighting and gutter politics that he learned while he was AWOL.

He also brings this "Jesus, Jesus" act to keep the sheep sheared. I'm a Christian myself and I don't recognize what Bush is selling.

Times change. Even though the "buck stops <there>", I'm talking about how you can actually get through to people.

If you keep focusing on Bush, you aren't going to get anywhere.

Bring down the "movement" that he represents. You aren't going to bring him down as long has his support system is left behind the scenes, protected.

19. Yes, but...
In a sense, tearing down the top guy of the Repuke party is tearing down the party. Bush epitomizes everything the Repukes stand for. He is merely the figurehead that symbolizes all of the greed, corruption, and lies that spew out from the Republican party.

It's not really possible to attack the abstract (ie the Republican party). It has to be focused on the people that are leading the way. Fighting windmills doesn't work.

21. Going after Bush
You'll never tear down the party. He is the only reason these guys are in power, because of that fact that for some reason, so many people in this country "personally" like him.

They don't want to hear most of what you have to say about "him."

But they'll listen to what you have to say about most of the others.

15. That's a very interesting question!
I think there really are two schools of thought here: One is that he really isn't stupid, but it gives him an advantage for people to "misunderestimate him" and he's actually quite shrewd; the other is that he's an empty suit and an empty head propped up by a cabal who write his speeches, feed him answers, pose him for photo-ops and generally prop him up.

I take the latter view.

17. He's a puppet
However, he does understand the pain he is causing the world. And he gets off on it. So he is constantly demanding from his puppet masters harsher and harsher ways of causing pain. The neocons couldn't get away with this crap, if they didn't have a willing puppet. Make them all do a perp-walk for high crimes and misdemeanors!
