Isn't their President going to be elected by individual vote? I know this assembly is going to draft a constitution but won't Iraqis get to vote individually vote on it? I sure would like to have the Iraqi "democracy" explained. Any links?

1. The US plans on making the decisions there for a long time |

Don't fool yourself.
And regarding how they will elect their president -- no. To the best of my knowledge, they elect an assembly to draft a constitution. This assembly will then come up with a way to choose a committee/sub-body to choose the president.
There's been no talk of a general election for president in Iraq.
I suspect that this will all get tossed and re-done once the US gets thrown out of the country anyway, so who knows.
