So how the Gonzales show going today?
So the way I read it, if one Senator had refused to agree to the unanimous concent agreement, the Gonzales matter would never come to a vote. Stopping further unanimous consent agreement was the way Democrats planned to block all further legislation if the the Republicans tried the nuclear option. This was the first time I had ever paid attention and seen the unanimous consent agreement in action. So every Senator had the option to say no and each said yes to Gonzales yesterday when it counted. Tomorrow is meaningless unless the Republicans save our rear ends which is not going to happen. I don't like pretenses and games. Our guys should be honest with us. They should say they could have stopped Gonzales but chose not to because.... instead of pretending to be against torture.
