My history teacher is giving extra credit if we right a paper on the SOTU

I wasn't planning on watching it, but since it is worth extra credit I guess I will. It only needs to be a page. How should I rip on Bushit in it?

1. Take apart his statements, show what the actual facts are - sort of

like reporters are supposed to do.

count words and try to see who can be the first to come up with the word he uses the most.

identify the huge lie in this SOTU. SS crisis - the sky is falling, run for your lives - Saddam is getting nukes - the sky is falling, attack, attack.

5. Right a paper

or write a paper?
The former implies correcting something that is askew or wrong. There will be lots in the SOTU that you can correct.

It's always good to use exact quotes when possible...

As someone above said- do what the reporters should be doing.. write what he said, and then present the facts.

Personally, I would toss in something about his use of emotionally charged language and how that affects people (hatred and anger, I think, are the easiest to exploit in people- to make them agree with you. Hitler was VERY good at that, and unfortunately, Bush is too.).

13. Get creative

Hand it in on toilet paper. ;)

If that's too flimsy, use the paper towels from the bathrooms.

If you don't have a tape recorder, write down the good zingers as best you can, then compare them to the reviews on DU. :)
