8. I'm watching w/the sound off

* looks awful. God knows I seldom really look at him, but the mouth is droopy,as are the eyes, and skin's a mess. The "audience" are jumping up and down w/standing ovations every 30 seconds, it seems.
Sorry I can't fill you in on the "substance" of the speech, but I really hate *'s voice! I'll catch the commentary later, on TV and here at DU. Oh, well, I guess I'll turn the sound up for a while, he might make a few vaguely amusing gaffs.

The statement that s.s. would be paying out more than it takes in was greeting with some loud sounds of disagreement, twice! Good - at least some are letting their feelings be known. * says security is more important than partisan politics - as if Rethugs are EVER anything BUT partisan!
