I like Reid--he's great on the Senate floor--but this response is meek and mild. The language he's using is too vague and impersonal, and his delivery is soft. His periodic chortling come off as fake and his makeup makes him look like a clown. I'm sorry, but our response is not very good. We need someone dynamic who uses clear, personal language.

I didn't stick around to watch Pelosi.

they sounded like the rest of the democrats on our side, in my opinion, those who want to stick to and make clear our values. They sounded like they read dont think of an elaphant and they layed out a couple of points from the new agenda. I think they did a good job of countering bushes main focuses, social security/domestic and national security/foreign. good job!

I was fairly positively surprised.

Pelosi has always looked like she's fighting her facelift and is overdosed on Zoloft...hard to hear her words it's so distracting..

But Reid...I felt he could "cut through" to a very "red state"
person.

I grew up in the bible belt and I felt that his speech would be heard
by the "cotton eared" religious right.
