1. I was too.
He got his points across. My mind just sort of drifted during Pelosi though. She is still more of the same.

3. He got his points across well.
I thought he was firm. He is talking to the country not just us and I think it will go over very well. If he wasn't a gentleman it would turn off a lot of people and we need to draw them in.

5. I thought Reid did very well
And he could be very appealing to the red staters.

Pelosi always looks like a robot to me.

6. Pelosi isn't the best speaker but I love her
a real liberal for a leader in the congress for once. I do think she has decent strategy and holds the Dems together better than Gephardt could.

7. This was my first major impression of Reid
Edited on Wed Feb-02-05 11:20 PM by mvd
I thought he was fine. He had a couple great lines and I thought he had a good "killing them softly" approach.

Pelosi could have been the lie-debunking fiery one, but I was greatly disappointed. Sounded like an "us too" speech. One thing holding her back was that at the start, we always have to pander to the ignorant with an introduction assuring them that we want to get the terrorists.

At that rate, maybe Pelosi should have been the one focusing on domestic policy.

9. yep she wasn't good at all
I think it's time for her to step aside. She is not an inspired leader.
