Nobody has ever claimed that he got the most votes. He didn't. Donna Frye got the most votes.

Just like Kerry.

So, tell me, why aren't I sitting on the Coronado City Council? I ran for council some years back, and I lost. Doesn't that make me a legitimate council member? Am I missing something here? Oh, right--I forgot. I'm not a Republican, and I don't have friends who were selected as judges specifically to support people like me.

Yeah, Murphy's the legitimate mayor, Bush is the legitimate President, and we have a legitimate government. Maybe I better look up "legitimate" in the dictionary again, just to be sure it hasn't come to mean the opposite of what it used to mean.
