Protest Now! Dubya's SS "Bamboozlepalooza" Tour of ND, MT, NE, AR & FL!
Edited on Thu Feb-03-05 08:49 AM by flpoljunkie
Tonight during the State of the Union address to Congress and the American people, President Bush will announce his plan to dismantle the most successful poverty elimination program in American history.

He'll tell you Social Security is in crisis and that he's letting you invest your own money.

But here is what he will not tell you:

America's Social Security system will be solvent until 2053

His proposal will cause the average 20-year-old worker to lose $152,000 in retirement benefits

Privatizing social security really means billions of dollars in the pockets of Wall Street tycoons

The next 72 hours of the fight to protect Social Security are critical!

Tomorrow President Bush will launch a two day, five-state tour, to promote his plan with stops in North Dakota, Montana, Nebraska, Arkansas and Florida. Rallies will be held at each of the President's stops to protest this reckless plan.

Please take an hour out of your day to attend the rally listed below and stand up and fight to protect Social Security.

Thank you for joining with fellow progressives to tell the President Bush that we will not stand by and watch the radical right risk our retirement security by dismantling the most successful poverty elimination program in America.

11. You mean February and....yes!
Any sane person would NOT want to be there any time during the winter. It must be the absolute coldest place on earth!

3. How about if everybody gives him a big "Sieg Heil"
at each of his appearances. Show up with no protest signs, hang with the sheeple and then when the chimpy appears, throw out some vigorous Sieg Heils. That should get the message across.

5. these are the states with Dem senators that Rove believes can be peeled
Edited on Thu Feb-03-05 09:11 AM by ElsewheresDaughter
away from the party to vote for bush*s SS plunder!...one Dem senator from each of these states is ALL that seperates the US elderly from total destitution (eating cat food and living in boxes) and a secure life of sardines, and a room in nursing or assisted living retirement home .

i know Nelson is one Rove feels good about but
who are the other senators from these states?

I can't imagine why. Couldn't be that we have one of the highest elderly populations in the country.

10. Local Democratic official banned from events on Bamboozlepalooza Tour?

Local Democratic officials banned from events on Bamboozlepalooza Tour?

Just like old times, I guess.

From North Dakota's Fargo Forum ...

Fargo City Commissioner Linda Coates is among more than 40 area residents included on a list of people barred from attending President Bush's speech today in Fargo.

Among the 42 area people on the do-not-admit list: two high school students, a librarian, a Democratic campaign manager and several university professors.

White House spokesman Jim Morrell and Don Larson, a spokesman for the North Dakota governor's office, say they don't know anything about such a list.

"This is the first I'm hearing of it," Morrell said when contacted Wednesday.

But two sources close to Tuesday's ticket distribution confirmed the list exists and includes a handful of names of people who were not to receive tickets to today's event at North Dakota State University's Bison Sports Arena.
