The Democratic response to the "Class Warfare" meme from the Right
Edited on Thu Feb-03-05 11:04 AM by Walt Starr
"The rich declared war on the poor ages ago and the Republicans have done everything they could to be allies of the rich over the past thirty years! Yes, it's class warfare by the rich on the middle class and now the middle class have decided it's high time to FIGHT BACK!!!"

2. "About f*ckin' time!"

I forget where I read this, but in the middle ages there was one of those periodic peasant uprisings in France. In the course of events the peasants stormed the chateau of a local noble and murdered him, gang-raped his wife, then roasted the guy on a spit and forced his wife to eat his flesh while the children looked on. True story.

Now that's class warfare!

Upon Googling for a source, this is from Barbara Tuchman's "A Distant Mirror" (which is a great read, BTW), but I most recently read it in Al Franken's "Lies and the Lying Liars who Tell Them."

3. About time!
And I think the Dean as DNC Chair tsunami is having an affect on stirring our once recalcitrant Dems on the Hill to fight back against the Reichwingers.

4. "You're talking about redistribution of wealth"
Edited on Thu Feb-03-05 11:53 AM by Walt Starr
Wel, yes, George Bush has redistributed most of what the middle class has into the hands of his rich elitist cronies. All we are proposing is to DISTRIBUTE THAT WEALTH BACK TO THE MIDDLE CLASS WHERE IT STARTED!"
