The pigman Limbaugh (and all the other right-wing assholes) have always perpetuated the ridiculous lie, that liberal radio can’t make it in this country.

With the LA affiliate onboard and a Chicago affiliate soon to come…Air America Radio will have stations in the ten largest markets in the country and at least forty stations in smaller markets, and not to forget, channels on Sirius & XM satellite radio, as well as a huge (maybe the largest) Internet audience. All by the time AAR is just one year old, in late March.

AAR-liberal radio is here to stay and will only continue to grow…much to the hate & disappointment by the right-wing, who still try to ignore AAR…Not for long!

1. Liberal talk radio flyers

I'm going to make up some flyers to help advertise my local station that carries Air America and The Jones Radio Network (Steph Miller, Ed Schultz). I'm going to put them up in some of the places I frequent and other places that have bulliten boards, and maybe in the window of my car too. I figure:
more people that know liberal/progressive talk radio even exists = more listeners =
quicker growth =
more informed public.

I'll probably just put something like:

LIBERAL/PROGRESSIVE TALK RADIO
AM 1340 - SANTA BARBARA

...and then I'll list AAR and JRN and maybe some of the host names and shows.

They don't invest much if any money in marketing themselves, so it's up to us to do that!

2. AAR's advertisers SUCK. We need to help them attract better advertisers

Take marketing surveys and make sure people know you listen to AAR.

They deserve to have better advertisers than Jerry Springer has.

3. I listened to Stephanie Miller online this morning

She used to have a great radio show here in LA until KABC decided to go all-RW. It was excellent.

I really enjoyed her new show, too! I'm glad to see her working and doing a fun, interesting, intelligent show. I love her energy.

4. Bummer! I listen to her everyday

on my way to work. I don't know what I'd do without it. At least you can listen to Pacifica down there, although it doesn't have the comedy so it can be downright depressing. But it still beats all the RW shows. BLEH!
