by Saddam's government is because he was planning a coup. This changes the story because every government does this (even if the individual is justified in their actions). It also means the Bush administration twisted the story for their own dastardly aims (again...).

As many others are pointing out, her story is suspect, at best.

Saddam was a ruthless dictator, but the following countries have ruthless dictators/powerful royalty (authoritarian governments) as well: Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kuwait and occupied Iraq. What do these regimes all have in common? They are supported by the US. Gosh, we must really love freedom.
