How to make money on the GOP social security fiasco:
This tip comes from one of my former MBA students, now a PhD student in Finance and very sharp, if a little cynical. (A little?)

Buy stock in companies that administer and sell stock mutual funds. In particular, buy stock in the ones that have had scandals about their financial practices but not been prosecuted. The idea being: those are the companies that are politically connected enough to be in the running to get contracts for the "individual accounts."

1. I'm going to become a broker if this happens.
Seriously.

I think pirateization is immoral, but I want to be on the inside track so I can write my book.

3. Right.
It's the politically connected finance operators who will gain the benefits.

4. They screw their clients: do they treat the stockholders nice?
Why wouldn't they use the same pull to drain the corporation?

5. If this SS fraud by the *ies passes, my husband and I are going
to take all of our retirement $ and buy Euros with it! I understand from our financial advisor that you can purchase European mutual funds too, and if the dollar tanks, they will still retain their value.
