How bad is it going to get?

Our country is being taken over by the thugs--They steal elections and if for some fluke that we do win, they fight till they find a judge who gives them the win.

I listed yesterday all the programs on the chopping block--Social Security, Medicaid, Talent Search, Upward Bound...today, Perkins Loans for low-middle income college students is on the block.
It doesn't seem like this is going to end.

Police are being given more and more powers--sprayed some peacefully protesting students todays with "chemicals", tasering old ladies in nursing homes last week...where is the line going to be drawn?

Today, ads are being accepted on NBC for Bushco's story on tort reform, yet they won't accept rebuttal ads.

The fundamentals of our society are being torn apart at the seams, and although more elected Democrats are beginning to voice their concerns and not "just going along with things" for the sake of unity, I'm worried the camel's head is too far in the tent to stop him.

We have watched a liar become our Secretary of State and a torturer become our Attorney General. We watched people applaud a General that likes to shoot people.

I would have to say that I am really getting frightened. Where does it lead? Where does it end?

Before I joined up, there was a DU'er that said after the election (sorry can't remember who) that perhaps we should all move to a certain part of the country and start our own society. I chuckled at that, still virginly unaware of the dealings of this administration. But now, honestly, the way things are going--I'm starting to think that wasn't a bad idea.

1. I've been paniced for quite a while. I've been checking on the idea

of moving out of the country. I think it's going to get bad. Between peak oil, Bushco, and their policies which are destroying the country, I think it going to get very very bad.

8. I think it will be worse. In 1929 most Americans were poor. They

were farms or crop sharers. They could live off the land and help each other. Can you see our society doing that now? We will have riots in the streets. We didn't have that in 29'. People will be starving. The military will have to restore order and protect our government from us. Will they shoot their own parents and relatives to save those chicken hawks?

I think if you study Germany right before WW2 in their depression, you might get the idea. When the Germans left Moscow, they ate or destroyed the food as they went. The Russians lived on saw dust bread and burnt their furniture for heat. Come spring, they buried their dead in mass graves and started over. What do the citizens in NYC or LA do for food? How about you yourself?

13. I, too, have been thinking about the what ifs.

True story: Several years ago I asked a psychic about whether or not we would be safe/secure from the earth changes that I believed would eventually come.

I was a bit shocked by her response. She said, "Well you will go back to canning your food."

I was shocked for two reasons. 1) This psychic has been unusually correct in her predictions over the years. (Even told me about 911 2 years before it happened!)

and 2) I used to do some canning when I was 16 yrs old. However, I never imagined that I would HAVE TO go back to it, in order to sustain myself and my family.

9. I have received a bit of peace from the astrological

predictions over in the Astro/Spiritual group.

THey see grave things for both * and his cabal. They see a definite fall from power in and around Nov. of '06. They say that * will disappear from public life almost altogether, whether from an _________ or not, is not known.

And, they say that the "press will turn on *".

Interesting, for what it's worth. For whatever reason, it has given me great comfort.

IMHO, as far as the economy is concerned - it is not a matter of "if", it is a matter of "when".

We are selling our country to foreign interests in the name of quick profits. And at some future date those foreign interests are going to start making demands.
