Something I wonder
Something I wonder is why isn't there one (besides Jon Stewart) talk show that is democratic leaning? There are so many republican leaning talk shows out there from Faux to MSNBC. I know it's a hopeless dream that we'll have a talk show of our own on t.v. *sigh* Is there any way we could get one show somewhere? I love AAR and am VERY thankful for this, but it's so unfair how on t.v. there's nothing for people who don't get AAR on the radio and don't have computers. Nobody ever gets to hear the other side. When democrats are on these republican leaning shows they hardly get any talk in (as in when General Clark was on "Hardball" earlier this week). I remember hearing Al Gore wanting to start up a t.v. station and I know there's democracy now but that has to be specially ordered. I guess this is just a little rant. Thanks for reading.

1. If you get DISH Network ...
LINK and Free Speech TV (FSTV) offer am alternative to corporate news & views. Lots of things you don't see or hear elsewhere.

6. Yep, they are great -- and also available on DirectTV
at least Link was, when I had DirectTV. FSTV is great and in the major cities their programs can sometimes be heard on cable access channel.

2. Gore's INDTv will not be a left-leaning network, but a "youth-oriented"

4. I've watched Maher
and he's pretty good. I wish there was more shows like that though for us dems. I know being a republican and/or conservative is popular now but still seems so ugh. At least where main non-cable networks are concerned. Can you tell more about the indie tv thing? Is it an online viewing or is it something you order for your tv?

5. Again, Dish Network
In my area, Dish Network charges less than cable. You can get deals where you pay nothing for the dish, the installation, the extra connection to a second tv.

Free Speech TV and Link TV are basically all I watch on tv, other than HBO.

Unless and until corporate media changes its tune, I will not watch any commercial channels. If they are going to be mouth-pieces for this unholy administration, they can do without my $$$$$$ during their daily and evening programming.

Free Speech and Link TV operate through donations by PEOPLE, unlike NPR and PBS who operate with corporate funds. There is, therefore, no hidden agenda on these networks and they are quite progressive. Beyond that, they show you the entire world, not just America. They have a variety of news programs. One is from Germany. Another is from the Middle East. It's really a Republican's worst nightmare. We wouldn't want the sheeple to know there is a world beyond our borders that has its own wants, needs, and desires, now would we?
