Two things Bush and Repubs do well : Politics & Propaganda
No matter the issue, the two go hand in hand. They use propaganda very effectively to promote their political agenda. Even with the present Social Security debate, they are using propaganda to set up their political goal. Democrats have not yet figured out what that goal is yet. However, you can bet they are playing "politics" with it.

Whether it is to get the Democrats to call for tax increases, thereby validating the public perception of the Democratic Party as the Party of high taxes, or if they sincerely believe they can hoodwink enough people with such an obvious foolhardy plan, that has not been figured out either.

But, we should accept the fact that they are very effective politicians and propagandists. We should not deny them that. They are good at what they do. No matter that what they do is harmful to our people and our nation.

4. Don't forget all the
lies and smearing of people they do and total flipflopping and changing things all the time (as in the Iraq war and SS scandal). They really piss me off.

2. Yeah, it's pretty easy to win through cheating and lying
if you don't have a conscience and you've got so consistant opposition. Those people are breaking all the records in their breadth of depravity, cynicism and treachery. And the dems....well.

The dems have done a complete roll-over on their constituency. It's like they're scared to fight. No wonder the least popular sitting president in history beat us. We've got no leadership worth mentioning. For the repubes it's like shooting fish in a barrel.

3. This is scary.... and it's not a Hitler comparrison....

Bush's grandfather helped finance Hitler.... and worked with people in Hitler's group on the propoganda according to this link I just saw.

I've heard about it before and even if we keep the whole Hilter angle out of it, doesn't the suppression of the press and government funded propoganda sound like a huge step in the direction that swallowed up Germany?

I think we have to quit "playing politics" and get serious about the truth. Many people have said, OK, Bush is not Hitler - based on body count. Someone even say, "Bush doesn't WANT to be Hitler" although how someone writing on this board can know that, I haven't a clue.

But his family DID travel in those circles and supported those ideals. He and his administration are very good at propoganda and I think there is more to their motives than just politics and WE MUST remain VIGILENT and not be lulled into thinking this is still the same game it always was.
