If black to move, it's Q X R. White responds B x Q and then Black moves R-B8 mate. If white responds Q-K1, the Black's Q x Q is still mate.

Zanti had a bad habit of playing hard core chess for 30 years, OTB in High School and college, then I went into correspondence chess before Computers ruined that. Now, anyone can buy Chessmaster or Fritz and play grandmaster stregnth at home.

in chess problems, I believe it is standard that white is to move, in which case, I take the black Q with the white Q and unless I'm a dull wood pusher, I don't see the mate for black.
