Scientists Study Presidential Lie Detector Test
Edited on Sun Feb-06-05 08:19 AM by DistressedAmerican
Call this new graphic a Sunday funny. It would be funnier if it wasn't so sadly true.

So, what do you think? Does telling the truth make this guy's skin burn or something? Maybe he's allergic? Maybe it is a side effect of his sobriety? Get him loaded up with 15 beers and I bet you could get all kinds of truth out of the guy. Got any other theories?

I'm pretty sure he somehow read past the parts of the Bible that talk about honesty, compassion for your fellow man and of course that pesky not killing stuff. As I recall, several popes during the crusades said it was not a sin to kill heathen Muslims, only Christians. Maybe he just didn't get the updated memo on that one.

Congratulations to Carolyn Kay of www.makethemaccountable.com!
(I recommend you check out her site. Very good newsscan.)

She is the winner of today's round of "Catch Distressed American's Incorrect Use of the English Language" contest! She correctly pointed out that scientists "pore" over data not "pour" over data (which would be very unscientific indeed!).

Carolyn, you will be recieving a year's supply of Rice-a-Roni and a case of Turtle Wax very shortly indeed (void in Tennessee)! Thanks for the head's up.

Here's the corrected graphic for your edification.

Stay tuned for future language mangling fun!
