Will Democracy for America still exist when Dean becomes DNC Chair?
It doesn't seem possible that he could be the Chairman of our party and still find the time to run DFA.

I'm STILL afraid he won't get the Chair position - I'm still gun-shy after the primaries. He had that one in the bag - then .....

1. I think it would probably be wise if he found someone else
to run DFA. It should still exist.

2. Yes DFA will continue.
Dean doesn't run it himself. Tom McMahon does. DFA is the grassroots machine that will power progressive Dems into office at every level. At some point, there might be enough DFA blood in the DNC to make DFA irrelevant, but that day won't come for years.

3. Most definitely.
We can do things in ways the DNC can't, running local candidates for low level offices. Dean is honorary chair and founder. He has made it clear we will continue as a separate entity.

5. DFA will enable us
to run and fund and volunteer for progressive candidates in primaries. I am seeing a bright future for our party!

4. Absolutely
I do wish Dean was putting ALL his efforts with DFA (which I do stuff for), but it's all good.

7. He writes it for the Cagle group.
I believe that group was chosen on purpose hoping to reach a group not usually targeted by the Democrats. The two other columnists there are Dick Morris and Michael Reagan, the weekly ones. It is a syndicated column for the Cagle group. They post it at the DFA site as well.

9. Here is the link.
It is pretty right wing,IMHO. I remember something he said about wanting to try to talk to the other side....or something like we have to go where they are and tell them what we stand for.
