CNN: "Poll: Iraqi elections give Bush boost"
YES, I know..."mainstream media." Fire, bad. Bread, good. CNN, WHORES. Got it.

http://www.cnn.com/2005/ALLPOLITICS/02/07/poll/index.html

(CNN) -- The Iraqi elections that went "better than expected" produced a bump in President Bush's approval rating, according to the latest CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll.

Between January 14 and 16, 51 percent of survey participants expressed approval of Bush's performance as president. But 57 percent of the 1,010 respondents during the February 4 thru 6 poll stated that they approved of how the he does his job.

The margin of error for the telephone survey of all adults is plus or minus three percentage points.

Last week, 40 percent of participants said they disapproved of Bush's handling of his job, and 3 percent of the people stated they did not have an opinion. While the responses to some questions -- like how the president is handling the economy and Social Security --- remained within the margin of error or unchanged from a January 7 poll to the one last week -- the most significant changes appeared on issues related to Iraq.

1. I guessed it would...for a while. Wait to see what happens..
It's sure looking to me like a theocracy is forming, and the US backed candidates are out.

I can't blame people for feeling that it was a good thing that the Iraqis got to vote. It was. I'm not seeing much of a sign of Democracy there though.

Just wait for a month or two and see what the real results are.

2. I'm really shocked by these numbers...
57 percent of ALL Americans approve of the job Bush is doing?

That's enough to make me want to hurl up a lung.

How can that possibly be?

Is America really that stupid?

And just because Bush set up a publicity-stunt election--the United States citizens have new-found warm fuzzies for Bush's handling of Iraq? His polls are up on Iraq...unfrickinbelievable.

No one else in the world is being fooled by all of this.

What is wrong with these people?

6. What are the internals and the samplings?
Gallup polls have no credibility, they always oversample Republicans. Interesting that the last poll from a week ago showed the internals-why not this one? OTOH, that's to be expected.

7. Maybe that is why the other 2 polls came out as negative toward
democrats. One poll today asked the favorability of Dean. He had a 38% unfavorable rating vs. a 30% favorable with 30% not sure.

Then the other poll really ruined my day! And I'M NOT KIDDING! It polled a favorable/unfavorable rating for dems and repubs. Repubs were polled as being 10% higher favorable than dems. Something along the lines of 47% to 37%. WTF! Why would they even run a poll like that just as Dean is likely to take over the DNC. It's a great day for us - I guess they just have to get the negative perception out there asap. I really have been pi**ed!

8. Not for long. And when the real "election" results come out and when t
troops just keep on dying and still don't have enough ammo and rifles and body armor etc bush's ratings will keep on dropping.
