EXCUSE ME WHILE I LAUGH RIGHT IN YOUR FACE....
That's what I would say to all of the farmers and rural poor who voted for the monkey king based on "his morality"

Oh,... "he'll do what jesus wants"... they said. Well you know that little rural clinic that saved your kid's finger.... kiss that goodbye.
Hey, and you remember when you equipment was busted and you got a no interest loan from the feds to fix it..... well bye, bye

Did jesus want him to hang you out to dry?
I think not

10. yup. When I saw a farmer being interviewed on the news
last night, he was whining about the chimp's subsidy cuts. For some reason I had no sympathy for him. He most likely voted for the asshole. This is going to open a LOT of eyes to what WE Dems were warning the sheeple about. A lot of them will have to suffer in order to learn a valuable lesson....NEVER, EVER, EVER TRUST REPUBLICANS. I don't feel ANY sympathy for any of them. This is what they wanted, apparently.

They were cheated, hoodwinked, bamboozled. Its sad that our party didn't reach out to these people more. I won't fault them much for falling for Bushco's lies.......if they get off their asses now and help us fight this corporate monster before its too big for anyone to beat. If they continue to support a party that is clearly screwing them over then they deserve what they get.

32. Sometimes people
keep loyal to their party no matter what. I think it's dangerous. I know there are a lot of neocons in republican clothing but there are still some good republicans out there. They are few in numbers now days though and they have totally been hijacked. Only thing is a lot of them don't know. My mayor is a real republican and he's done a lot for the enviornment and all that, so I always direct people to him and ask them to compare him to Bush and ask if Bush is really a republican or not. Hopefully things like this will help open people's eyes. Sometimes they have to have something happen to them personally before they'll believe us. Just like with 2000 and 2004 election fraud. I try to direct people to Greg Palast's film and I don't know if they ever watch it but maybe someone will.

Every interview with every whinning farmer should end with the questions:

...And who did you vote for in the 2004 election?.....

on edit...we need just the right amount of scorn and empathy here....chide those who voted for Bush** for his "values" and then welcome them home...to the party they belong to........

21. We are just so frustrated
and I think we want to take it out on people who voted for Bush. I don't have a particular reason to vent on farmers, but I have been waiting for a chance to say "I told you so" to Republican voters. I mean, where is the responsibility for doing this to the country? They should at least have the decency to apologize for having brought this disaster upon the country and the rest of the world for that matter. They should look at what they've done and feel ashamed.

24. Telling the truth about a situation isn't "bashing" anyone. We cannot
cower from telling the truth and making intelligent observations because someone calls it "bashing" or "smearing." Tell it like it is! We are big enough to take the consequences. Look at what not speaking up has gotten us: NOTHING!! What the fuck do we have to lose?

26. Exactly...
... all we heard in the week leading up to the Dem convention was hand-wringing about "Bush bashing, I hope they don't bash Bush". The powers that be in the party decided to stifle the bashing, just so the Repugs could spend their entire convention bashing us.

How many times does Lucy get to move the football at the last second before the pink tutu milktoast wussies running our party get a clue?

(Apologies to the younger folks who have no idea who Lucy is :))

30. I see your point... but damn it the "heartlanders" who voted for him...
put us in this mess.....
So they will have to suffer some ridicule before we welcome them back to true populism.
Besides they are the people who based their vote on things that were personal and then rubbed our noses in our loss... now its our turn!

Now this doesn't mean that I want anyone to lose their home, farm, job, healthcare, but that's going to happen in spite of what I did to stop it.... by voting for John Kerry.

.. and maybe if they had done the same it wouldn't BE happening
I'll be willing to bet that you will be hard pressed to find anyone who will admit that they voted for this clown come 2008.

OH.... they're gonna get fucked but not by me!

19. Well my father is a rural farmer in Missouri ......
so I will have to talk to him and get his take on the cuts although I dont believe he used any of them anyways. He voted Democrat by the way his whole life.

Here is something I want to add. Many of the 'rural' counties like Cass County is MO aren't being decided by farmers, infact most of those farmers are gone or dying off because of high land prices.

Instead those elections are being decided by yuppies with dual incomes, often no children who come down and pay twice or 3 times what land is worth to have a little section of 40 acres and some horses. Those folks outnumber real farmers now in Cass county by a LARGE margin. I watched land go from 500/600 an acre to 1500-2000 in just 3 or 4 years, I'd imagine its even more now.

So although this county would be considered rural its not really rural farmers calling the shots anymore but your typical well to do freeper types trying to get farther away from crime(ie minorities etc).

27. I've got no sympathy for the farmers who will get cuts...
...first of all, the only farmers who will be affected are those who get more than $250,000.00 per year in subsidies. That pretty much keeps the "family farmer" we all envision in tall cotton. Secondly, federal price supports supply about half of the income for both sugar and cotton, but the cotton farmers and sugar farmers complain the loudest about "welfare queens" in the city, when they are, in fact on welfare. Finally, the surplus cotton and sugar on the market depresses the price for these goods in the "real market", causing farmers worldwide to be underpaid for these products (and causing Mexican cotton farmers to lay off workers, who then come here to work, for example).

If any other business couldn't make money without govt. assistance, it would simply go under. Why should farmers be any different?
