Laura Bush's Popularity

This morning I saw that in a poll 80% of the people polled liked Laura Bush. I do not get why she is so popular. It seems like people like her because they do not know her, or because she does not say anything. I do not see the charm. It just seems to me that people do not know her enough to like her. It seems to me that she barely says anything.

I heard a caller yesterday on CSPAN, she was a mom from a black neighborhood and she was warning all the blacks (her words) in the country to stay away from this new program by Laura Bush who has never known a gang member in her life. She said this is the second wave. First they jailed everybody they could get their hands on and now they have a new plan. STAY AWAY!

So clearly not everyone loves laura. If anything I pity her because I think she got in to deep before she realized you don't escape the bush clan, not with your kids or any money or emotionally intact.

Even my mother, who was a life long Dem, liked Barbara. Stupid reasons, like...she's just a nice little old white haired lady. My mother was 80+ and I think she felt she could relate to her.

There are still many people who don't like strong women, and they like Laura because she hangs back and lets Shrub be the boss.

Until the story about the White House chef's firing, she seemed entirely inoffensive. She didn't give anyone a target. Whatever was said negative about her didn't seem like it could be true because it didn't seem possible that she was ever anything strong at all. What I don't know is why she hasn't gotten tagged with her parenting shortcomings.

I actually did like her, before * decided to run for preznit.

Then she put on that utterly phony, plastic smile. That she NEVER takes off. Sort of inappropriate don't ya think?

And, then she had a bunch of plastic surgery to cement the look.

What really gets me is the fact that she supports ALL without question or comment. It must be a pathetic way to live.

I'de think more of a drug addict, as I believe that in most cases they have a physiological excuse!

25. I don't like or particularly dislike her. I just think she has HORRIBLE

taste in men! She surely could have chosen better.

I know it was her choice to marry such a petty, selfish, egotistical man and I ought to dislike her for enabling and abetting him and his kind.

But, I still pity her. I think that running over her boyfriend at 17 probably killed a part of her too, and to deal with it, she shut down and did what she was told to do from then on. That would be a horrible thing to have to live with. (Barbara Bush as a mother in law and George as a husband would also be a horrible thing to have to live with). I also think that she is "medicated" into a compliant stupor.
