that bush wants MSM to talk up......welcome children to the DU Middle School...recess will be at 12 and please try not to inhale the dust stirred up while kicking around that soccer ball :(

Iraqi primary school boys study for their mid-year exams at the damaged building of their school in the western city of Falluja, February 8, 2005. The counting of votes from Iraq (news - web sites)'s Jan. 30 polls continues, as a Shi'ite alliance is still well in the lead, according to partial results, with a Kurdish coalition in second place and a bloc led by interim Prime Minister Iyad Allawi in third. 1. At this juncture it would behoove
the MSM to juxtapose pictures of the children who have lost limbs, and have not gotten adequate care, etc, alongside the happy freedom pics. For every kid in school there is probably one who has lost a family member due to the war on Iraq.

That is if the MSM wants to be more than a propaganda arm of the administration. Which they don't.

2. This is a constant claim by my Conservative friends
The great thing about it is it pretty hard to refute. How am I supposed to prove there aren't good things going on in Iraq? Plus there are probably some good things happening there, good things happen everywhere.

But the question misses the point, which is was it worth the cost paid in money and in the lives of our soldiers (and in the lives of Iraqis for that matter).

3. Sad
I'm sure that you didn't mean it that way but......It is sad to think that the lives of the Iraqis was an "after thought".

The money spent could have and should have gone to better use: (ie. Education, health care, housing the homeless, etc.), the true tragedy is the loss of life on both sides.

Note: Of the subject! Ask any Pro-Lifer that supports the war how they can justify the massive loss of innocent life in Iraq. Or, are they just pro life for the unborn? American? Or, just where their Pro-Life attitude reaches it's limits?
