Action Alert: Call to block the nomination of Michael Chertoff

The action alert is posted at patrickhenrythinktank.org along with a link to the phone/fax numbers of the members of the Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee that will be overseeing the nomination. We only have seven members on that committee compared to nine for the Republicans.

This is a guy who was one of the White Water witch hunters. He sees Democrats as America's number one enemy. If you add that to his lust for torture and his involvement in the financing of 9/11, you can pretty accurately predict what he will do with the Homeland Security funds if he gets in office.

Call your Senators and Demand that Michael Chertoff be filibustered!
Michael Chertoff, another torture proponent and advocate of "water-boarding" with ties to 9/11 financiers is the nominee for Secretary of Homeland Security. Tell your Senator not to reward those responsible for 9/11 and to stop the Senate from endorsing torture a second time.

btw Chertoff, if pronounced with empahsis on the first syllable, means 'belongs to the devil' in Russian, somebody should get that info to chimp ASAP, that's the only way this nomination will be derailed.

Seems we weren't able to block Gonzales, so we sure as hell won't be able to prevent this nomination either.

4. He's made it through committee. Now people need to call their Sens

We've got to stop this extremist. Jim Marrs was taking about how people would be beating down the doors of the 600+ concentration camps after the next terrorist attack. It looks like Chertoff will be able to use Homesland Security funds to fund it. Since he's after Dems, he's probably do it in a blue state.

7. Under the Immigration Bill, the Homeland Security Secreatary can

break the law any way he wants any time he wants. So the HS Secretary has the power to shoot your children in the back for no reason at all and this guy was involved in financing 9/11. If he launches a new terrorist attack, he can't be prosecuted.
