What will be the major defining issues of the 2006 elections?

I say old/new war (and rumors of war), some scandal that has yet to break, and Howard Dean (who, I think, will turn out as a beacon to many who want to rescue what's left of the nation from the bloody hands of the bush gang).

Of course, at some point, if indeed it is as dire as some say, global warming and climate change will become a top issue ("Luleene, why cain't I breathe?"). But I hope its not 2006 (or 08, or 10, or...).


What do you think will be the "deciding issue" in 2006?
