Did anyone see Jay Leno last night?
He played a clip of Bush trying to explain to some lady how social security works.

It was hilarious.

He had not clue. He turned "red like a beat", started sweating, and got this "ummm, ummm, ummm" look on his face and rambled over and over never finishing the sentence.

I guarantee you that after he finished, they probably clapped although Leno only showed a clip.

2. if it's the statement i'm thinking of, bartcop.com has a transcript.
bush comes off like someone speaking english as a second language.
it's pretty funny, but shocking and appalling when you think of it.
he's a marionette -- can't put a complete sentence together when he's on his own...

7. Now, I know quite a few who speak English as a second language....
And they mostly speak better than Shrub.

Still not citizens, they don't volunteer their opinion of him & his pals. On questioning, they all think he's a dangerous idiot.

6. From Bartcop

Exchange

Woman in Audience:  I don't really understand. How is it the new
plan is going to fix that problem?

Dubya:    Because the -- all which is on the table begins to address the big
cost drivers. For example, how benefits are calculated, for example, is on
the table. Whether or not benefits rise based upon wage increases or price
increases. There's a series of parts of the formula that are being considered.
And when you couple that, those different cost drivers, affecting those -- changing
those with personal accounts, the idea is to get what has been promised more likely
to be -- or closer delivered to what has been promised. Does that make any sense
to you? It's kind of muddled. Look, there's a series of things that cause the -- like,
for example, benefits are calculated based upon the increase of wages, as opposed to
the increase of prices. Some have suggested that we calculate -- the benefits will rise
based upon inflation, as opposed to wage increases. There is a reform that would help
solve the red if that were put into effect. In other words, how fast benefits grow, how
fast the promised benefits grow, if those -- if that growth is affected, it will help on the red.

So when the money ends up missing, people will think,
"Bush was too stupid to steal it. He must've lost it, instead."

 Fell better, America?

9. Every time I see this one, I get embarrased...
MARK TRAHANT: Most school kids learn about government in the context
of city, county, state and federal, and of course, tribal governments
are not part of that at all. Mr. President, you have been a governor
and a president, so you have unique experience looking at it from
two directions. What do you think tribal sovereignty means in the
21st century and how do we resolve conflicts between tribes and
the federal and state governments?

GEORGE BUSH: Tribal sovereignty means that, it's sovereign. You're
a -- you're a -- you have been given sovereignty and you're viewed
as a sovereign entity.

MARK TRAHANT: Okay.

GEORGE BUSH: And therefore, the relationship between the federal
government and tribes is one between sovereign entities. Now,
the federal government has got a responsibility on matters
like education and security to help. And health care. And it's
a solemn duty.

(Laughter)

(I'm just so embarrassed that this person is our President. Now,
apparently, there is one more thing to just be embarrassed about)

11. And you all still don't get it, although I said it the other day
You see what the woman asked Bush?

She asked him how is the new plan going to "fix" social security.

Like I said the other day, people are willing to give Bush slack on this scheme because they think he is trying to "fix" social security.

That's why I said the Democrats need to keep repeating over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again, that he isn't trying to "fix" social security.

He is trying to "kill" it.

Until the Democrats get to the point where they dictate the discussion in that way, they will forever be in a culture of defeat.

Keep saying that Bush wants to "kill" social security, not "fix" it, duh.

10. I did catch that part. Bu$h in Tampa, rambling incoherently, and finishing
up with "does that make sense to you"?.

Also NBC had a blooper show on last night before Scrubs and they played clips of Bu$hism's greatest hits (food on family, breasts and the brightest, is our children learning and won't get fooled again). Sweet.
