McCain and Lieberman alert re Global Warming!

Whaaah? Didn't they each just get kissed by the one man in the world that is destroying the environment singlehandedly?

Up late and saw McCain holding forth on the C-Span2 rerun from earlier today. Now Lieberman is on, both sounding like they are saying Shiva for the earth. Their voices are so heavy, and filled with desperation. Trying to talk in market terms, invoking the grandkids, BEGGING for their bill: Climate Stewardship Act, a weaker version of Kyoto, but one "to start turning America around." "Won't cost jobs, it will add them." They define it as THE security issue, as the Pentagon already has, and evidently, also the insurance industry.

If. If ONLY they had fought for the Dems in the fall.

God help us. The pictures they showed. No longer scientific models, but the evidence of our own eyes. "We will not stop until this is done."

I think they are confused between politics and what they know is important. That must be a gut-in-a-knot place to be internally. I keep expecting one of them to come running out of the Senate like that guy in "Mr. Smith goes to Washington."
